Welcome back Ruler’s,
It’s really good to be back. It has been on crazy year. But it looks like things are getting better as summer starts to heat up. For many of us we are just getting back to a somewhat normal life after the covid pandemic and social restriction.
Now that we are able to get out and about and business are starting to open back up. We are all looking to get out …….
I know a lot of us are on a budget and maybe you didn’t have your plans for summer ready to go.
I have the prefect fix.
Keep it local
A great way to save money and still have some great summertime fun and memories is to rediscover your local surroundings. There are some many local gems that ate yet to be discovered and experienced by you.
A great way to get started is to check out your local calendar of events.
Most towns, cities and communities will put out monthly event calendars. this is where special events, all types of festivals, and art & theatre performances with be posted.
often enough these summer events are free including plenty of fun stuff to do with the kids.
So, break out the beach chairs and blanket and head out. Save even more money by packing a lunch or picnic dinner. Me myself I love summer concerts in the park sometimes they are all day! Now that is a day or night of entertainment, and it didn’t break the bank.
This is a really fun one. I love discovering new things so next on the list is museums, yet other places to find hidden gems. During the summer Museums are some of the best ways to have fun in the summer they often offer discounts or free admits days. In most cases there are air conditioned that’s a plus if you’re looking to beat the heat. Now to make it interesting check out smaller museums or Wacky museums like the Ice cream museum.
Living history is always a big hit.
The last on this short list and the easiest to do is Parks, beaches and the great outdoors, yeah, the place we use to go to get fresh air LOL
I know it seem like a no brainer but if you don’t look closely, you will miss it. Don’t just go to the park, go with a purpose, choose somewhere new. Check your local community boards for free or low-cost class in the outdoors like yoga.
Try ones with water features or trails, turn it in to a nature walk, of course pack a lunch or snack. Bring you phone or camera and snap a couple of photos never know what you might see. Call up an old friend and have them meet you there. Or better yet join a club that get out and about like a hiking rockhound club these are almost always free and can be found on place like Facebook groups.
Catch a sun set This is all free.
So, you see even if you’re on a budget you can still have some fantastic summer fun.
Now you have some ideas of what to do I would love to hear what you have come up with, leave me a comment or head over to our Facebook group and share you tips comments and Pics.
Until next time keep ruling!
